This trip started off with a little bumpy weather getting across to the backside of the Channel Islands, and then it was smooth traveling to our destination of Santa Rosa Island. Squid was our main objective to begin with; we captured a few, then possibly a sea bass or halibut to no avail this beautiful morning. With the weather forecasted to be very nice for the most part of the day we made our way to the west to try our hand at rockfish and by the end of the day we ended up with nice quality limits of mostly big reds and chucks with a couple of lings to top off the sacks.
Tomorrow is another day and with the full moon coming up who knows what is in store.
