May fishing in the Channel Islands can be extremely productive. The year’s first reports of boat limits have started coming in for White Seabass. They hit bait and plastics in the early morning, along with the occasional Halibut!
Rockfishing continues to be good too, with Lingcod, Whitefish and some Sheephead mixed in. There have been a few Yellowtail even.
Getting your gear together with fresh line and listening to the crew will always be key, especially for the White Seabass.
