Humpback Whales in the Channel Islands!
These past months, offshore have been extraordinary with a large biomass of feed located only a few miles from our coast.
Massive schools of anchovy and other forage have been in position supporting pods of Humpback Whales and other species of Cetaceans. An influx of Humpbacks have moved in just off our coast to feed. We were there to witness the action, and it was incredible. If you have never witnessed Humpbacks lunge feeding congregated in large numbers socializing and feeding, this is a remarkable opportunity. Wildlife photographers, this is your opportunity to capture that once in a lifetime image. Those who love observing marine wildlife will not want to miss this adventure.
